We've had a fantastic couple of weeks celebrating the festive period with musical events in and around school. On 12 December we had our amazing Christmas Concert when the hall was filled with friends, family, and festive cheer as students showcased their incredible musical talents in a joyful evening full of variety.
The audience was treated to a diverse and exciting programme featuring performances from our Junior and Senior Orchestras, Jazz Collective, Folk Club, and various rock bands. Adding to the evening’s charm were the beautiful harmonies of Young Voices, Chamber Choir and the OG choir, and skillful performances from the String Quintet, Flute Group, and Guitar Ensemble.
On 18 December we were treated to our Carol Service at St Paul's Church, a joyful and festive occasion, with carols sung beautifully by Chamber Choir, OG Choir, Christian Union and the Barbershop Boys. Parents, students and staff raised the roof with the congregational carols and we listened to a number of biblical and traditional readings. Thank you to St Paul's for hosting such a lovely Christmas event, to all the students for their fantastic performances and readings, and to all the staff who helped to create such a memorable and meaningful service.
We've also enjoyed our popular and unique Christmas Assemblies accompanied by the Folk Group, and our unforgettable Carol Competition.
We wish everyone a peaceful and relaxing holiday period!
