At 4.45am on Sunday 16 February, 40 students from Year 8 and 9 set off on an exciting six-day ski trip to Andorra. Led by Ms Meader, along with Ms Norris, Mr Giles, Ms Moreland, and Ms Eason; we were all packed and ready for an unforgettable week in the mountains.
After a sleepy coach ride to the airport, a smooth flight, and a long drive through the stunning Andorran mountains, we finally arrived at our hotel, Marco Polo, which was just a short walk from the Pal Arinsal ski resort—where we would spend the week learning, improving, and having fun on the slopes.
Skiing Highlights
Each morning, we grabbed our skis, helmets, and (very painful to begin with) ski boots, before heading up the mountain for four hours of skiing. Everyone was put into groups based on their skill level, from complete beginners to more advanced skiers. The Gold Group even managed to reach the summit, where they saw the Andorran flag and some incredible views.
